This policy explains what personal data Starfish Beach Phu Quoc (“we”) collects when you use starfishbeachphuquoc.com or book a tour with us, and how we use it.
1. What we collect
When you book: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, tour date, pickup hotel, group size and any notes you give us, such as dietary needs, allergies or mobility limits. When you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we keep that conversation. Card and PayPal details are entered directly with the payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
2. Why we use it
To confirm and run your tour, to contact you about pickup and changes, to take payment and issue refunds, and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.
3. Who we share it with
Only what is needed to run your day: our local partner operator, your guide, driver and boatman receive your name, group size, tour date, pickup hotel and any special needs you have told us about. If you chose to pay the balance in cash, your guide is also told the amount still due.
Card or PayPal payments — for the full price or for the 30% deposit — are processed by the payment provider you choose at checkout, under its own privacy policy. Our website host stores the booking on its servers, and our email provider delivers booking emails.
4. How long we keep it
Booking and payment records: 10 years, as Vietnamese accounting law requires. WhatsApp and email conversations: 24 months after your tour. This site uses no analytics and no advertising pixels, so no browsing data is kept for those purposes.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted where we are not required by law to keep it. You can also object to how we use it or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Write to [email protected] and we reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Security
The site runs over HTTPS, payments are handled by the payment provider, and access to booking data is limited to the people who run your tour.
